Would you like to have your dog turned into a “dog person”? We can do that.
Or would you like a unique portrait of your dog or even a “photo painting” of your pet? We can do that, too. Just let us know what you would like or if you have a special request. CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHY WORK.
We specialize in pet photography and can do anything from a custom “dog person” to a straight studio portrait to a photograph of your dog at your home or favorite outdoor area, like a park or garden.
How it works for a custom “dog person”:
Take a good photograph of your dog looking straight at the camera OR make an appointment and we’ll take the photograph for you in our studio — the cost is the same. CLICK HERE FOR TIPS ON WHAT WE NEED.
Pick out a template and a background.
E-mail us the photograph.
We’ll contact you in the next 24 hours as to whether the photograph you sent will be suitable.
Pay for the custom “dog person” portrait. You can either buy the portrait through our Etsy Store or we e-mail you a PayPal invoice. You can also mail us a check or we can take your credit card over the phone. The cost is $75 for an archival 7 X 10 photograph in a ready-to-frame 11 X 14 archival mat. The cost is $100 for an archival 10 X 15 photograph in a ready-to-frame 16 X 20 mat. Shipping is extra. It is an additional $6 to mail an 11 X 14 matted photograph and $10 to mail a 16 X 20 matted photograph.
We have on average a three-day turnaround. That means once we receive the photograph, under normal business circumstances, it takes us three days to complete the custom “dog person” portrait. We will e-mail you a jpeg to make sure you are happy with your purchase. We will send you another e-mail when we have shipped the matted photo. It takes 2 to 4 days to receive the photograph, depending on where you live.
QUESTIONS? Please feel free to send us an e-mail or call us at 217-689-4575.

The vintage series is popular because customers often like to frame them in vintage-style or antique frames and hang them with other family photos.

We give the images that old-fashioned “hand-colored look.” The images go in an antique background. On female dogs, if you can take your pet wearing a wig, hat or scarf, it makes for a really great photo. However, we might be able to digitally place a wig or hat on your dog. Just ask and we’ll give it a try.

The names are optional on the vintage series. Personally, we like them, but that’s up to you.

The Girl in the Blue Sweater

The Man in the Bow Tie

The Girl in the Pink Sweater

Tweed Jacket Man with Vintage Tie

The Girl in the Yellow Dress and Deco Background. Note that any of the templates can go in this background. Please see background choices below.

Boy in the Blue Bow Tie. This template works best for smaller breeds like the Boston Terrier, Jack Russell, Dachshund, Cocker Spaniel and so on.

Mustard stucco background. Stucco can be about any color.

The modern series is also popular and looks great framed and hanging on the wall with other family photos — after all, our pets are a big part of the family!

You have the choice of three females and three males on standard backgrounds. However, you may put the “dog body” of your choice on any background (please see the choices below).  Again, on female dogs, if you can take your pet wearing a wig, hat or scarf, it makes for a really great photo. Female dogs just look more “fetching” in a scarf or wig. However, we might be able to digitally place a wig or hat on your dog. Just ask and we’ll give it a try.

The “Boy in Blue Bow Tie” is better for puppies and smaller breeds. We’ll have a baby template up soon for really small puppies.
